Labeled by media and geek fandom as an action chick—a term she wholeheartedly embraced—Moss was wise in not letting the role define her career and instead balanced her resume with more feminine roles in low-budget indies.

Tonight is the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest will get a little help with his hosting duties by several reality tv stars such as Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Jeff Probst, and Tom Bergeron. This affable blond performer took a decade to advance from second lead and character actor to starring status.
